When the 8 of us graduated as Radar techs, the E9 gave a talk, passed out matchbooks, the small pocket size, they rattled when shaken.  His comment before opening the gifts "Sometimes you just need brute force to find a problem quickly".  Inside were 2 steal slugs like the one pictured 
In 38 years, I used that method a couple times, worked well, got home before the Sun came up
