Sluckey "Tremonator" Voltage Question
« on: January 15, 2023, 08:13:24 am »
Hello-
Studying incorporating the Sluckey one triode "Tremonator" vibrato circuit into an upcoming build. How critical is the plate voltage supply to this circuit? The schematic of "Tremonator" shows around 430 VDC B+ supplied to the 470K plate resistor. My build will have 375 vdc B+, should I adjust the 470K plate resistor to a lower value? I noticed the use of a 270K plate resistor in the "Tremonator" circuit for the Supro amp so thought I would ask.
Thanks.

375v and 470K should work just fine. I've seen a wide range of B+ voltages used with these LFOs.
A schematic, layout, and hi-rez pics are very useful for troubleshooting your amp. Don't wait to be asked. JUST DO IT!

Thanks Sluckey-
OK on voltage range. If I can bother you just a little bit more could you look at this "before" and "after" circuit that shows the incorporation of the 50K RA vibrato "intensity" pot from the Tremonator circuit? Essentially what I propose to do is to replace the 220K resistor (that is in parallel with Master Volume 1 meg pot) with a combination of the 50K Intensity pot and a 150K fixed resistor. Is this how you would add in the Intensity pot? Thank you!

I would just replace the 220K with a 250K intensity pot. Nothing else. Be prepared to experiment a bit.
