5YE rectifier

Can anyone explain how to convert a 5YE to a solid state rectifier circuit.

The easiest way is to replace the rectifier is with a tube-plug with two diodes installes.
Connect the anodes of the diodes to pin 4 and 6 and two the cathodes (stripe) to pin 8.

A 1N4007 (1A) works, but a 1N5408 (3A) would be safer.
You find all you need in Doug's Shop (top of the page)
