Master volume and grid leak resistors

I want to install a ppimv, also want to add grid leak resistors.

I have 220k grid stoppers , so a 250ka dual pot.

Is this value correct even with grid leaks attached?

I use often 500 k with success on few amps

250k for volume and tone pots will work (works in blackface amp stacks).


However, when used as preamp triode grid leak resistors, these resistors will be in parallel with other resistors that are between the signal source and ground/HT, so a 250k will contribute to slightly higher losses than 1M would. But that doesn’t really matter if your preamp has a few stages in the signal chain. I wouldn’t worry about it
