 Grounding Input Jacks
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I am wiring Doug's Bassman board (starting from scratch after my last screw up) and am up to wiring the input jacks. A question - the buss wire from the pots only has enough length on it to wire 2 of the input jacks, and per Doug's illustration from his site, it seems that the grounds should go to all 4 input jacks??? What connectors on the input jacks do I solder the buss wire to? Do I solder the buss wire to the #2 input jacks for both the bright and normal channel? Thanks.

hi, When i did my bassman i used the same buss wire for the pots and did a figure 's' shape connecting all jacks and i've never had a problem. does that make sense?

 Yigba,

Lookin at the Hoffman layout, you will notice that each jack needs to be grounded (by indication of the grounding schematic symbol).

You will know which pin on the input jacks to wire to ground by going here and reviewing this picture.

Input Jacks Wiring Diagram

If you run out of wire, just add some more buss at a solder joint on one of the grounds and continue on.

Is this what you needed?

That was my assumption all along - I simply took extra wire and connected it to the places indicated on the schematic, but just wanted to make sure I got it right. Thanks.
