custom shop strat pickups

I was given two custom shop fender strat p'ups.  I thought I'd be able to tell by the length of the leads where they belong on the pickguard, but the wires are too short even from the bridge position on both to make it to the switch (I can make extensions).  Is there any way to identify which one goes where by reading resistance, etc.?  Thanks!

Measure the resistance.  Put the larger one (the hotter one) in the bridge position.

Presumably your middle pu is out of phase with the other 2.

Maybe - but they don't always do RW/RP.  Particularly not with Vintage RI stuff, because of course that's not how Leo did it so someone is sure to think it doesn't sound as good.
