I didn't have a clue about women until I got into Joni.

I don't own any of her records, but I like aloot of here stuff when I hear it.

Pretty crazy how good she is and the strange ways she composes her stuff.

I didn't have a clue about women until I got into Joni. It was kind of simultaneous for me.  Woke up, it was a Chelsea mornin'!  My girlfriend could sing & play guitar better than me.  She could cover Joni Mitchel songs, and hear all the same unique tunings.

Joni had real rock n roll in her guitar rythm, great melodies and powerful lyrics; very prolific.  I saw the documentary on TV.  It was great.  Tough life though.

All the men were just temps because she wanted to remain an artist and not get settled down into married life.

Can't blame her

Here paintings were pretty cool also, which is what she does between song writing inspirations.

She is a big influence on Prince (she remembers seeing him in the front row at one of her concerts when he was only a kid); he covered A Case of You on A Tribute to Joni Mitchell, one of the better tribute albums, although Joni's original versions are usually better:
