Cap Can Value?
« on: December 20, 2010, 02:06:10 pm »
I have a 1931-39 Philco radio the size od a piece of furniture. There are two cap cans that i do not see a standard MF or voltage value on. Both caps have the same Philco number as shown in the pic. Single high voltage terminal. Any old geezers here recognize these?

Whatcha trying to fix?  If it's that old it's probably no more than 16uf. You can disconnect the big cans and just stick a few of those tiny 20uf anywhere inside the amp. (Just my view of these things).
