5e3 speaker jacks
« on: March 19, 2011, 05:16:59 pm »
How are the speaker jacks wired in the original Deluxe (5e3)?
In the schematic below it seems that there are two jacks one for amp speaker and one for an external speaker.
If the amp speaker is plugged and you add an extra speaker the load impedance will drop.
If there are no speakers plugged the + wire is connected to the ground.

That's exactly how they are wired.
A schematic, layout, and hi-rez pics are very useful for troubleshooting your amp. Don't wait to be asked. JUST DO IT!
