 DC stand off heaters?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
in tut3 KO briefly goes into DC standoff heaters and how they act much DC regulated heaters, but not about which is better other than the standoff method is cheaper component wise. Has anyone tried this?

thanks

 I've used both.

DC-standoff works great, I'm sure a lot of guys here have used it. The advantage is, of course, relative ease of employing it.

Of course, DC is quieter in their both worst case scenarios.

So, if you don't care about some extra planning and cost and time, go with DC. If not, DC-standoff works great, too.
