I was looking to the schematic of the Pignoose G60VRH and I find something strange (to me)

at the firs the switch present on the cathode of V1a seemed to me to be related to the insertion

of the bypass capacitor, but immediately after I realized that the purpose of that switch is different

but I'm not really sure about the real reason ??
