I have the bug again - Time to build

It's been 6 years since I finished my last build from scratch. 2 granddaughters, some illness and many home projects later and now I'm ready to get back to it again.

I'm glad for this forum since I've lost a bunch of my notes and Visio drawings.

typically I have trouble working on one thing at a time.  I have a bunch of transformers, 6 chassis and a many parts ready to go.

Working on layouts for my builds in this order

• A two bottle Rocket - this was my last build and I have friends that want one
• Carolina Songbird SE - I have several sets of SE transformers
• TOS (2) cf with 5881's - Promised this to my son 6 years ago
• SOHO 56 with 6bm8's  I've heard raves about the SOHO and 6BM8's so I figured this would be a good fit from what I read.
• TBM - I don't think the iron I have will drive 5881's or 6L6's.  Will this work with a lower output power section?  I probably can get to 350 - 400 volts but I the PT's I have may max at 125 or 140 ma.

I'm looking forward to finishing a couple and doing side by side comparisons.

Glad to hear you're getting back into it. It's a wonderful thing and this forum is a wonderful tool.
