Cause for this distortion
« on: August 11, 2018, 02:11:51 pm »
Any ideas what is causing this type of distortion?

https://www52.zippyshare.com/v/mOLYyAqv/file.html

The circuit is like deluxe reverb AB763.

I have heard that before and I don't think it is caused by the strings.

I think it could have something to do with a microphonic tube.

I also got to know that the problem occurs randomly.

It may be a bad connection.
Is this combo?
If so, try a separate speaker cab.
Whatever, use a sig gen to find and induce the problem.
Also chopsticking around whilst the amp is passing a constant tone.

It is a combo. Thanks for the troubleshooting methods.
I will certainly apply them when I get the combo to my workshop.
