Anybody seen Terry?

From Wikipedia and Google:
Quote
Hollywood Forever Cemetery
Terry died at age 11 in Hollywood on September 1, 1945, and was buried at Spitz's ranch in Studio City, Los Angeles. The grave was destroyed during the construction of the Ventura Freeway in 1958. On June 18, 2011, a permanent memorial for Terry was dedicated at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery in Los Angeles.
.
...From the Land of Oz (ahem,...Kansas) and never knew that about "Toto"  until just now.
I did know that June 18th is "Sir Paul's" birthday.
Just trying to wittingly introduce myself here,
..because there's just no cool way to say one's from Kansas.
At least I've gotten to play through some classic amps over the years!!!
My buddy's brother :icon_biggrin: knows quite a few people in the "Vintage Guitar" scene.
When something "broke down" he'd hand me a choice loaner while getting a quick turnaround on the repair(s).
As I'm sure too many of us know, we age along with our 'vintage gear'.
Case in point:
"The Repair Guy" retired...
The "backup guy" OD'ed...
Brother got married (and isn't as active as he once was)
...and it seems the "touring days" have abated.

Figure it's time the amps got some TLC while saving some $$$$$ while having something to occupy insomnia.

Let's see, not a complete noob.

To cut my teeth,
I did the ole re-tube/bias-N-cap' job on a Sound City 120 Mark IV.

Must've gotten lucky, 'cause it's the quietest Mark IV I've encountered!!!

Probably won't have that kind of luck all the time, which is why I think most come here
To seek the experience that's gathered here

Well...because we all know the smell of burnt electronics and solder, some parting words from beloved T.V. personality Nelson Muntz:
Quote
Smell ya' later

Thanks for adding me....I'll see you soon with "Round 1" of "How do_____"
-Cheers
