Dual Relay
« on: April 01, 2020, 12:52:37 pm »
Hey guys,
How can I mod this Tube-Town dual relay switcher https://www.tube-town.net/ttstore/kit-double-relais-switcher-6-v.html to work with a mono pedal footswitch.
It looks like one of the pin of the stereo cliff jack is connected to ground. My idea is to link the pole below (cf my awesome ms
paint drawing.)

Are you wanting both sets of relays to switch at the command of one switch?

Connect these 2 points circled in blue if so.

And, if that's the case, remove either S1 or S2, and add your footswitch to whichever is remaining.

Thank you.  :occasion14:
Yes that's what I want. I'd like to use an old marshall 1 button (mono) footswitch that I have.
This switcher kit is already built. I'd like to use the stereo jack that is already in place.

I would really like to use the stereo cliff jack that is already there.
As for now, with no mods, if I use my 1 button (mono) Marshall footswitch, it only switches Relay 2. Relay 1 stays on all the time.
I think I need to cut some traces

I'm thinking I should cut the trace that goes from the ring (?) to the - pin of the relay 1.
And from the - pin of the relay 1, going to one of the tip pin. It should be 50-50, right !?

An easier solution is to just put a stereo plug on your footswitch cable. Connect the tip and ring together.
A schematic, layout, and hi-rez pics are very useful for troubleshooting your amp. Don't wait to be asked. JUST DO IT!
