Implementing a 6G15 style Reverb into a AB763
« on: June 26, 2020, 09:50:45 am »
Hi,

I'm personally a big fan of the Fender Vibro-King and I'm wondering if the standard Fender reverb can be modded to work more like a 6G15. In the VK, the input signal goes into the Reverb and in parallel to a CF that buffers the dry signal and mixes it with the wet signal before going to the next stage. In the VK, the reverb is in front of the EQ as well.

Has anybody come across somebody who modified the reverb with the CF and inserted it into a different place? I heard a "mini" 6G15 with the typical 12AT7 parallel driver and it sounded pretty good, so I'm wondering if I can modify an AB763.

As an alternative, I can remove the normal channel and add the 6G15, but maybe that can be done easier. I have one half of a 12AX7 available for the CF mod.  :think1:

Best regards

KH
