Can you tell how old these caps are?
« on: June 30, 2020, 10:10:54 pm »
Hi there

I'm trying to bring down the noise floor in a drip edge silver twin reverb, I took a look in the dog house and it seems the filter caps aren't original, but I can't tell how old they are, can someone tell me if I should replace these any time soon?

Those are fairly new style caps and are in current production. I would not replace them just because of age. I would only replace if some troubleshooting indicated one or more is suspicious.
A schematic, layout, and hi-rez pics are very useful for troubleshooting your amp. Don't wait to be asked. JUST DO IT!
