Unusual Pentode preamp.
« on: January 23, 2022, 06:39:59 am »
Has anyone here used either a 6J5P, 6F36, or 6AH6 pentode in a preamp?
I have a couple to try when I get a 7pin socket.
I have found one circuit using a 6AH6 as preamp driving a PX-4 output in an SE HiFi amp from a Japanese website.
Any extra info would be good, I am interested to try it for a guitar amp.

Tube datasheet can be found here: https://frank.pocnet.net/sheets62.html
Theory is when everyone knows everything but nothing works, practice is when stuff works but nobody knows why !!!
