What a weird little thing, I got this about 20 years ago from someone at the local music college, serial number 003
No preamp or transducer pickup with it, and sold as a guitar multi FX unit, that's how I found it,
It has the 'sax' part scratched off the front, to get someone to buy it perhaps?
The only mention of it I can find is:-
https://www.muzines.co.uk/articles/c-ducer-saxman-and-sax-fx-unit/4123https://forum.effectsdatabase.com/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=497It gets bad reviews sound wise, but its faults seem to work great for guitar!
The VCF is a bit random and gargles, the release is really weird as if fades out, the ADT is pretty good low as a chorus effect but can add some extreme pitch wiggle if turned up that makes me seasick
The Octaver, wow, seems to flick about a bit with guitar, more like some of these new bit crushers and random noise effects, almost nails that early 90's SNES sound...
The 'Direct Select' has to be on if no effects are on, seems to be some kind of direct out preamp, but if the effects are switched on and turned up, it doesn't have to be on? It can be switched off, volume drops a little, so it seems you almost balance the input volume with the effects volumes to achieve a blend of 'clean' and FX
I will get some gut shots soon, it is bolted together a bit strange, almost have to fully dismantle to look at it...
What would be a good method of finding the input impedance and try get the correct signal level into it, as it originally was run with a preamp and tranducer pickup
