4x12 Wiring Question. Is this possible?
« on: March 11, 2024, 11:53:53 am »
Good morning,

I have a 4x12 cab with 4 16 ohm speakers in it.   I would like to have a few different wiring options in it but I'm not sure if a its possible or how to implement.

Input 1. I would like to have be wired in series the 4 speakers to be 4 ohms.

Input 2. I would like to be Series parallel for the 16 ohm.

Input 3.  This is where I get a little not sure how to do this.   I would like a 3rd input that I could use to make the 2nd and 3rd input just 2 speakers wired in parallel so I could essentially have 2 stereo 8 ohm set ups.   I was thinking this could be accomplished using a switched jack.   But am not sure how to implement it.

Anyways any advice on making this happen would be appreciated.

A schematic, layout, and hi-rez pics are very useful for troubleshooting your amp. Don't wait to be asked. JUST DO IT!
