New kid on the Block

Hello folks ! I was just invited by our generous leader.

My name is Frankie. I'm from Anaheim California. I've been repairing band instruments for 25 years. I've been managing a crew of 8 at my repair shop for the last 11 years. I primarily repair woodwind instruments. Specializing in vintage saxophones and hand made flutes.

My primary instrument is saxophone. I've been playing since 1993.I also play all woodwind and some brass instruments. You sorta have to as a repair man ! I also play guitar...albeit not at a high level. But I Love the instrument. It's my second passion next to the saxophone.

For the past 5 or 6 years I've been learning tube amp repair and building. I was lucky enough to be taken under the wing of a retired electronics engineer for a while. He used to work for a company that made radar equipment in the 50's and 60's.

 I've been loving this new found hobby of vacuum tube technology. This is how I found my way here !

I live in Orange County California. Born and raised. I have a wife and two kids. A boy and a girl ! My wife and kiddos mean everything to me. They are all very supportive and pretend to be interested when I talk about mundane (to them) things like cathode bias vs fixed bias haha.

Anyhow, thanks for accepting me in this wonderful forum !
