I've been messing with amps for a number of years but never felt the need for a circuit board holder until now, as I wire up some small boards for my "5 Watt Imperial" project.  I  could have ordered a commercial holder for $20 plus shipping, but I tend to do things the hard way....  Often this leads to a "WTF was I thinking / Whose idea was this?" mood, but I actually like how this came out.


The board gets mounted to a couple wood slats that rotate in brackets attached to my amp chassis cradle.  The slats slide left and right to accommodate different size boards.  The brackets have just enugh friction to hold the work securely, but rotate to any position

This is ingenious.  I like the rotating slats' holder.  Creative use of hole saw.  ++

I got one of those "store bought" models a couple of years ago, they're also a big help.  There was a thread  back then about cutting a piece of wood to the same cross section of the center bar, but making it longer and able to handle the largest chassis.
