Going to be up around Dougs Territory

My youngest of three daughters is graduating from Basic Training at Ft. Jackson SC and the wife, I and 94 year old Dad is going up for family day and graduation. Then we are taking her to Ft. Bragg NC to begin her AIT. I would love to take the long way back home through the beautiful country around where Doug lives at but I'm sure we'll be beating it back down I-20 home again ASAP.

I ride my Road bike past sliding rock every wedndesday night on the way up to the Blue Ridge Parkway.

We can hear all the tourist scream as they hit that cold pool of water at the bottom.

I drove the Parkway in my 33 foot motor home we stoped on top at the MEDOW I could get about 8 TV stations up there

I think that was summer of 06 we passed through that neck of the woods.  The Blue Ridge Mountain Parkway is totally badass!  We got on it right after we left Sliding Rock and got off at Pigeon Forge.  That place is a TRIP.  You go from beautiful mountains to toursitville USA in a blink of an eye.

I'm logged in on the Columbia SC Ramada Inn customer lobby computer. Reminds me a lot of Louisiana around hear--lots of Piney woods--hills no mountains. No rock slide that I can see either  :o
