Fluke Bench DMM Question

I recently got a Fluke 8000A DMM from eBay.  It seems to function well.  It's a semi-portable / bench model that can run on an internal battery.  I just noticed that while plugged into the wall outlet, there are lights ON or a glow coming from inside the unit.  This goes away when the unit is un-plugged from the wall.  Is this normal?

Yes, this is normal. There's an incandescent lamp fitted to the-01 versions. It acts as a current limiter when the DMM is mains connected with the batteries in charge mode.
