15" Speakers culled from Magnavox Stereo- What are they?
« on: March 17, 2010, 10:46:37 am »
They look pretty smoking.  Here are the numbers: 232 940 584095  and 232 940 584037  Nice magnets and covers even.  Hope one of you guys can tell me what they are....and I hope it's a good report.  Thanks, Terry

All I can tell you is that they are in fact mfg'd by Magnavox (code 232), the 40th week of 19_9....1959?, 1969?(more likely).

The last 6 digits probably tell something about the ratings of the speaker (?)

All I CAN say is that you'll have to try them to see if you like the flavor.......what do the magnets look like?

Sorry I don't know how to post a pic.  The magnets are the typical alnico.  A round can shaped thing on the back of the speaker 3 & 3/4 inches diameter and 2 inches deep .  It looks healthy to me?
