Tube pedal power supply
« on: April 14, 2010, 03:35:43 am »
Hi I'm planning to build a Hoffman style tube pedal, and I have a couple of questions regarding the power supply:

http://www.el34world.com/projects/images/TubePedalSchematic.gif

I'm using a 9V/240V toroid instead of the 12V/240V Doug used because it's what I could find locally.

I'm thinking it might be a good idea to have a transistor boost type of circuit (rangemaster or similar) to have an extra flavor in front of the tube circuit. This circuit doesn't take much space.

So I'd need to get out 6V (or 12V) DC for the tube heaters + 9V DC for the transistor.

Are there any similar circuits I could get ideas from?

Thanks.
