By his track record (former US Marine and his desire to become a corrections officer), he was deeply committed to serving others and prepared to undertake the most demanding roles to fulfil this commitment.

I feel sickened, ashamed and angry to live in a country where we have so lost touch with significant sections of young people who are alienated from the world to such an extent that they feel that they can do little else but inflict harm. Jason Palmer deserved much better than this.
