Sherwood stereo receiver S-7910 cuts out!

I have a stereo reciever at home that I use to play the drums with.  It's a Sherwood S-7910.  It cuts out intermittantly...sometimes more than others.  I know its the reciever because sometimes my CD unit cuts out and sometimes my cassette player cuts out. 

Any ideas of what to try...or look for?

One channel? Both channels? More when hot? Wet? Classical or country?

Both channels.  Not hot...sometimes only 5 minutes in or less.  Jazz and rock.

Does it have a speaker relay? Clicks a few seconds after turn-on?

If it's not that, something's loose in the power supply.

Great integrated amp you got there! Love those big mid 70's monsters! I've got a Sansui 9090DB myself.

I'm curious is this something new the amp is doing? or a more recent development? or it's getting more frequent?

Does this cut out at lower volume, like when your not playing drums? or does this only do it when you're playing along?

When you say "Cut out" does the whole amp go out (no lights) or does it just blip?

Is there an OL (over load) indicator?

Are you powering your CD from one of the sockets on the back?

Is there an OL (over load) indicator?   I DONT KNOW, BUT MY SPEAKERS HAVE 1 AMP FUSE'S AND THEY BLEW ONCE ABOUT A MONTH AGO BUT NOT SINCE...THEY ARE ONLY A MONTH OR SO OLD FOR ME.

Are you powering your CD from one of the sockets on the back?  THIS HAPPENS WITH MY CASETTE PLAYER AND CD PLAYER .  NO THEY ARE PLUGGED INTO A CHEAP EXTENSION CORD/TWO OUTLETS TO ONE.
