How to add images in the middle of your post
« on: October 16, 2012, 07:34:53 am »
There's two ways to add images to a post.
#1 is to attach the image to your post by uploading an image from your computer
#2 is to use the image button to add an image that is on a server somewhere on the web

#1 method is shown in the screen shot below.
It adds the image to the bottom of your post as an attachment, but there is a way to add the attached image somewhere inside the middle of your post.
But first, you must finish uploading the image so it is stored on my server

Click on the + sign next to Additional Options to expand the options
Click on the browse button
Browse your computer to find the image you want to upload
To add another attachment, click the more attachments link and upload another file

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Images that you attach or upload from your computer can be made to appear in the middle of your message just like method #2 below
Once the image has been uploaded, go back to your post and click on the image to expand it to the full size
Right click and copy the properties/url address just like in method #2.
Follow the same steps as method #2 using the img button
In my reply down below, I attached 4 images
Then I copied the address of all four images and added them to this post
All four images in this post were uploaded images from my computer

#2 method
You must find an image on a web server and copy the link to that image.
You can insert these images anywhere inside your post

These screen shots below show how that is done
This in an image of a fender schematic on my library page

Right click your mouse on the image and choose properties

-----------------------------------------------------

Copy the image url address

---------------------------------------------------

Paste that url into your post
Highlight the url
Click the image button,
The image address is now surrounded by the img tags (see what those tags look like below)
You can also hit the image button first and paste the image url between the two image tags
Then Save your post

This is what the image tags look like with a image url between them
Code: [Select]
