6G6-A Bassman bass channel suggestions ?
« on: November 28, 2012, 09:09:36 am »
Restored a 6G6-A to stock... the normal channel sounds wonderful for guitar. the bass channel sounds like crap, for bass or guitar..not much gain, ( after doing some reading on the internet, I learned that this is the general opinion ). This Bassman is not in good cosmetic condition anyway , so the owner doesn't care about resaleability. Looking at the schematic , are there any ideas for the bass channel ?

You have two 9 pin sockets to work with for the bass channel.

I'd do one of these. Either of which should be an easy rewire. You may need to add a terminal strip for the 5879 V1 idea.

With respect, Tubenit
