Super Reverb Silver face trem and reverb issues
« on: January 20, 2013, 12:59:23 pm »
Hi !

The reverb and trem work both but with a high squeal, volume turned over 5, all voltages fine I started to replace old ceramic caps.same issue. The 3.3 megohm resistor has been changed for a 1 meg  but otherwise everything is stock. Any idea ?
Thanx

Colas

to start with, put the 3.3meg resistor back in,then replace the oscillator tube and try different tubes in the reverb send and return spots.

yep,

I had previously replaced two tubes.....with used ones.......thinking they were good and without investigating further on. Didn't know either the 3.3M resistor was so important, 'cause there was a 1M in place. So I did what Psycho told me to do ( just like he was my woman  ) and the reverb started to wake up , but still asleep to a certain point, due to bad tubes. I admit I had been lazy on this one, but i t is so easy to post questions here and get good answers.........

I love you all.

Colas.
