interesting little pentode. 6216 - surfing frank's electron tube pages ran across this beam pentode.

excerpt from datasheet:

...it is extremely resistant to the vibrations encountered in present high-speed military aircraft.

works for me; so must be roadie proof then huh? i think not; nothing is roadie-proof. in fact, shit should built out of ground up roadie. bulletproof. i'd call it roadeite.

the screen looks lame but something could be worked up with a CT FWB or a FW delon doubler. push-pull class A about 8W into 9K @ ~200V B+ & 100V G2. they are sensitive tubes - only 6V pk to drive to full power but with all that sensitivity the heaters are current hungry - 1.2A/bottle. reminds me of the 6BK5s i toyed with a while back.

picked up an octet off ebay for a modest price. check out the construction in the pics below... damn that's heavy duty. no?
