More Blues Jr conversion options

You know, there are so many of these Blues Juniors out there       They make a great carcass for projects

Geezer's HoSo56 is one of the finest most touch sensitive amps I've ever played.  You could convert a Blues Jr. to a HoSo56 pretty easily, I think.  You could have the FAT 5879 tone, active FX,  mid boost, and PPIMV.  That should make the volume very controllable for playing at home.   Just a thought.  Same tube count.  Same number of potentiometers used.

Spacing the turret board with similar spacing as a tagboard & using Doug's turret board material and turrets,  the board would be 9.33" long.  The chassis size for a Blues Jr. is 6.25 x 16.3125 (16 5/16) x 2 inches.

About 2 months ago I built a Matchless Lightning into a Blues Jr for a customer.  It was a very easy project and Beldon tube sockets fit well in stock openings.

Doug, I used Allen Amps TP-24 and Mercury Mag OT-020-JM that a friend gave me.


I rotated the speaker baffle board so it would not interfere with the new OT.
The reverb pot hole is now a treble cut control.
