Usually Peavey is quite responsive. I have one of these, bot used for $190. Unbeatable deal. I have pretty much replaced my SF hopped-up Princeton Reverb with it because it's kind of an expendable amp, for gigs and hauling around. If it's yours, replace the stock speaker which is really, really bad. I think these are entirely respectable amps, although some early ones had some irritating little snarks with them. You or I could not buy the parts to build a PP 6L6 amp w/3 12AX7 in a proper tolexed cabinet with reverb and 2-channel switching for what these go for used.
