AO-14 hammond amp schematics
« on: February 17, 2017, 07:25:43 am »
Hi, I'm new here and was looking for any help available. I do some repairs of amps and build some amps out of existing organ amps for guitar. I'm always looking to improve my skills. any help is welcomed.

Does any one have a schematic for the AO-14 tube amp from a hammond organ? I have found a modified, or should i say total redesigned, amp that looks good but hammond has always had a high standard on amp design and I wanted to try and use as much as i can from the original amp if possible.

Second question I also have a Hammond Regent organ solid state amp and can't find the schematic for it and was wondering if anyone has one? My problem with it, it has some 8 point plug connects on it and I need a schematic to determine how I can connect the wiring to be able to use it.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Yes I have that schematic but it changes a lot of the original hammond circuit. I can use it but was looking for the schematic that describes the original circuit. was trying to stay closer to the original so I don't have to change everything out. I know i need to mod the tone stack but i would like to leave the back end alone. I'm a little new at this but didn't want to guy the whole circuit and basically build a amp from scratch. I can do that if that is the only choice or if that is a better choice, i'm not sure. I listened to that amp but on youtube; it's hard to tell if it is what I'm looking for??
Do you have experience with this amp mod? what do you think, just build it as your schematic showsor it it worth looking at the original schematic?
Thanks for the help

Hey mate, If you can't find a schematic, can you trace out the your circuit (reverse engineer) that way we can see what's goin on.
Then we can piece together the good bits and mod the rest.
You could hilite the hammonator circuit that matches yours, could be a good start.
