6550 clearance

Hoffman no longer stocks Sovtek 6550. The ones I got from him a few years back were rock-solid, IMHO sturdier than vintage Tung-Sol coke-bottles.

Antique Electronic Supply has put their Sovtek 6550WE on clearance. $28 a pop, matching 50 cents/tube extra. While I don't usually tout sales, if you have a mass-6550/KT88 amp, this is worth investigating. Their other 6550/KT88s run from a little cheaper to much more costly.
