New to the site. Living in Atlanta, Ga. Why am I here, to learn and start building my own amp soon. Need to learn the math and science behind the small glass bottle with the red orange glow. Main amps of interest to me are, Train wrecks, and old Gibson/Guild/Gretch's. Hope to find ideas to get me started. Hello from Ga.
Note to self: Do not Tic-off the Dentist before needed work, And do not Tic-off the Rectial surgen before needed surgery. Makes for Two V-bad weeks.

Welcome. Lot of GA crackers here. Several within spittin' distance of Stockbridge.
A schematic, layout, and hi-rez pics are very useful for troubleshooting your amp. Don't wait to be asked. JUST DO IT!

Welcome from a cracker. I am in the Fayetteville area sometimes and sometimes from Franklin North Carolina.
If you want to learn, and you can certainly do so, but I but to build an amp is not too difficult. Iike anything else, I lots of small bits make one large one.

Start by studying schematics of some old good amps. Bass man, I Deluxe reverb, and Princeton which is a little different and jump over to a page and Gibson. Marshall amps grew up from the 5f6a tweed bass man.

You will be surprised how similar they are. Designing amps is a little different, but designing starts with understanding of good known amps.

I'm not from GA but I was stationed in FT Stewart in the army, so I know it.  My mom's family is from Coffee Co GA as well, so I know the people :)

Welcome!
