Getting more done guys.  Thought I would share the new workstation in progress.

Very cool! I may have to show off mine when I get it done, or close, I've been remodeling my entire garage to get it more open, and then I'll setup a few tables etc for the manufacturing work I need.

i have been in the process of remodling too.  that is why  too advantage of the opportuity.  This one actually had enough storage.

very nice!  My summer shop is the old grain room in my barn, amazing T&G burled oak, a natural honey bee hive with 4' combs, at night you can hear the hive inside the back wall n smell the honey!

Something to consider;
when I wired up the space, I made the "light switch" the mains, so when I turn on the switch the room is powered on, turn off the switch, no power.  I have found it saved me more than once when I forgot to power down a project, or un-plug a solder iron, or, or

Thanks Shooter. I am using a Sub panel for this with a main switch for everything except lights. 3 zones. Wired cable. Table to the left will be moved and will be my breadboard station and tube stock. This will open the area for for cabinet assembly.

Looks good. Hope your shop is air-conditioned! I just rebuilt my Paslode framing nailer yesterday. It's brutal in my shop right now. Wish I could afford A/C, even a window unit!

Shooter, Sluckey is shining you on.  Afford a Widow unit my ass.  I know for an absolute fact he has the money.  He just likes to poor-mouth. I will show you.


Sluckey, yes I have air and you can too.  Tell you what, I will bring a package unit, 2.5 ton and install it in trade for that little Harvard you have and take you to dinner too.  Deal?


I am still at it.  Today, I am getting everything that is not electrical desperate from what is.  All plumbing, paint, auto tools, welding and metal break together.  Building the Tube Breadboard table now.  What is cool is I have 10 individual 120/20 amp service with a new earth ground.  I am not seeing any noise at all from anything else.


I found another Gibbs Tank, full size 2 springer like was in a BF Super Reverb.  Compared it to the Accutronic and Mod.  These this are smooth with no rumble at all.


Has the little tag saying Made By The Women................etc.  Now I have 2 which is good cause I have 2 fenders that use the tank.


What I noticed a while back when servicing an amp is I do much better work until bending over my tall bench begins getting to my back and feet. I actually stole the idea of the build from Normans Electronic Repair.  They have custom benches made that are the same as this except theirs all are like cabinet shop made. I just stole the idea and made mine modular so I can move it when time comes to move full time to North Carolina.


Up there I have a Jam room now with just enough test equipment to repair amps and radios, but not scratch build.

I have been fortunate work for very well off folks, n if I brought in the redneck A/C they would smile, also let me drive their Maserati, spec out a jeep..... and outside work, they dressed worse than me

when I was a CB repair guy, the owner had 2 copper wires running along the back of bench, they were 120vac, just gator clip your ac    EDIT: you only get bit once
