Long tail phase inverter "scaling"
« on: November 12, 2017, 09:13:25 am »
Has anyone read about this in Mr. Merlin book?

You replace one of the resistors with a variable resistor (pot)
And it will offer a wide range of tone.

So most fender values for this resistor are under 1k and in the book the author says to use from 47k to 100k.

I was wondering if anyone done this?

Anyone offer any insight or experience?
Seems really nice.

With peace and respect

It was done by several people in this forum about 5 years back.

It gets done all the time by people who can't tell 470 from 4.7K or 47K.

Just do it.
