Repair a noisy Alesis Nanoverb.
« on: January 13, 2019, 11:19:45 am »
The Alesis Nanoverb is a nice selectable effects unit in a PA.

Mine is very noisy and all the pots need replacement or I need a new one or equivalent.

I need 5 pots- 2 rotary pots and one continuous 360 degree with stops.

Here's the site page for the  unit. -  https://medias.audiofanzine.com/files/service-manual-v1-00-475312.pdf

I'm sure I can get these cheap and install them my self but I need a little help to ID  the parts.
As far as I can tell I need-
1-R56
1-R57
1- R54
1- R53
1- R54

Thanks for any help!!

One of those knobs is not a pot (you duplicated R54) but a digital encoder. Oddly this one seems easy to find:

https://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/ALPS/EC11B15202AN?qs=%2fha2pyFaduiw5JKtcw%2fCm32rd0eTctVWGFmTQwIjB90%3d

The other pots are all dual, PCB mount, through-panel. These will be custom. Finding something which can be cobbled in will take much shopping and maybe trial and rejection. I estimate the labor as "nearly a full day".

With good used units selling $99 and shiny new with warranty at $199, I don't see a profit in this job.
