Hi,
Long time member moving from lurking to more active.
I've been interested in tube amps for many years now.
I started with an output transformer-less headphone amp as my first project and since then have modded half a dozen old PA heads into guitar amps and now have one that I based on a few ideas I've seen over the years and built from scratch.
I have an interest in Hammond organs, own a'50s M3 and have rebuilt a couple of Leslie amps.

I want to learn how to use a small signal pentode in my next version and am looking at various circuits using it trying to figure out which gain stage would be best.
Odds and ends:
I work for the Smithsonian, building exhibits.
Ferment hard cider.
Play a Tenor guitar and occasional mandolin.
