Best 5e3 tweed deluxe kit?

I just went with the 290BBX. No 50v tap, but I'll just get it from HV if I decide to go that route.

I know the original design doesn't have an impedance selector, but I'm going to add one. Is there any particular one I should use to keep the Fender look?

IMHO the BBX is too hot and your plate voltages will be high.  The 290BX is a much better choice.  I have built over 90 5E3s this year so far and thanks to Sluckey for setting me stright early on with the Hammond 290BX.

Sometimes less is more. Higher plate and SCREEN voltages can certainly pigeon hole one in a corner when it comes to vacuum tube operating points.

The kit arrived from Boothill Amps, as well as the transformers from Amplified Parts. Time to get building!

I'll start up a new thread once I get started. I'd gotten several recommendations about Boothill. Rob Robinette also mentions them in his build page. The parts seemed good quality, and the price was reasonable.
