What the world needs - another D-style amp

Hi all,

Thought I'd share some pics of my latest project.  Yeah, yeah, D-style amps have been done to death.  Well, too bad!  Here's another one.  I basically followed the Trinity amps 6V6 lunchbox D-style  amp documentation as inspriration, but sourced all my own parts.  From the chassis, to the faceplate, to the relay pcb, to the cab, all DIY'd baby!  Unfortunately, I didn't take a final built gut shot. 

I did have to replace the 1N4007 rectifier diodes with Ultra Fast diodes, and bypass each of them with 0.01uF caps to eliminate some noise from the power supply.  Now its nice and quiet, and being used in a Wet-Dry rig with my Hoffman style AB763 single channel DR.  Nice!

Never enough D style amps!    They sound so good . . .

Edit/Added:    I just took a look at Trinity's schematic and layout.   They simplified the build by eliminating the FET input, which makes sense to me (I haven't yet used the FET in a performance setting).   

One question I do have is that they ran a 5 VAC twisted pair from the transformer all the way over to their relay board, covering the wires with aluminum foil.   Is that effective?   My preference would have been to build a 5VDC power supply near the tranny, and run the DC over to the relays.  But maybe the simple approach does work here.
