Modeling tube power amp ideas
« on: November 01, 2023, 02:33:09 pm »
Howdy all!

Looking to build a mono tube amp with hi/low inputs, input sensitivity pot, presence and master volume.  No tone controls.
6L6/5881 power.
Will be built in a Stout chassis.

Potentially, (with larger chassis) could be done as a stereo amp, later.

Thanks!

For Guitar only.  Will do a mono setup first, a 12” combo with a tube power amp to use with Kemper/Headrush/Helix… etc.

I'd probably build start with something like the AB763 PI and power amp. Further tweaking if necessary.

Either ~80w, ~40w or ~25w, depending on how loud you wanna play and your budget.

Of course, you also have the option of using a regular PA (tube or SS) power amp.

Yes, a 6L6gc amp is pretty much what I had in mind.  Putting parts list together…
Thanks!
