My name is Benji I am 57 years old. I am a nationally registered paramedic in Branson, Mo and A National Park Service Medic for Buffalo National River Search and Rescue team. I have been a paramedic for 6 years. In EMS for 10 years. I have 5 children, we adopted 2 of our grandchildren and have had them since each of them were less than a year old.
My hobbies are many to say the least. I have 30 years in graphic design and sign making. 20 years off and on commercial and residential electric, 2 years as a copier service technician, I spent a many years helping friends in many trades so I got around a lot.
I have played acoustic guitar for the better part of my life, sounded like I played for just a few years, that is what you get for picking it up not so often... Until recently I just felt like it was something I would never master, or even be good at (even though I played in a band for a short time) I just felt negative about it... Although I have yearned to get back into playing electric (80's Rock, Metal, Hair Metal) I just never did
Until recently my long time friend gifted me a Epiphone Les Paul Custom Koa Pro, a Hot Rod Deluxe and several pedals. Thus born a deep passion to dive into it with all I had.... After the HRD decided to die I had it repaired ($450), not to have it recently die again... I started to build my own pedals and had some success at it, and started learning how to build and repair tube amps which led me here. I have to say it was a little bit of a challenge to start it, but I spend a lot of time reading, studying circuitry, old schematics. I really enjoy old tube amps, radios, and such. I have purchased much of the equipment to dabble in this, and who knows I might just make this my retirement gig... Never know.... However the journey has been such a great one, guitars and amps take me away from all the stuff we see on the road, and allows me to at least have something that slows me down considerable
Thank you all
Ben
