User Mentions

Possibly user error or skill issue, but it looks like the feature to mention a user in a post to alert them is disabled or not working?  Typing the "@" symbol doesn't trigger a user list like it generally does in forum software for me.

Just wanted to clarify - couldn't find anything in the docs about it but user mentions are a feature of this board software, and looks to be a group permissions setting:

"Mentions
Mention others via @name - Determines whether this group can mention other members by their @name."

Is this feature available or intentionally disabled?

I think that is a mod you can add to the forum but the only one I see is 10 years old and not being updated by the author
Also, many people find it to be annoying to be mentioned and have to go to a post to see why.
