Well, glad I didn't get it..instead, I got 5 of Keven O'Conner's books and am happy with them. I am 6-% through the first one as it appeared easiest to read. They are pretty complete and although others have mentioned they are opinionated, I haven't found to much I could argue with so far. But, everyone has an opinion anyway and his seem to be derived from experience from his amp company. Commercial sources will find a lot more problems in the supply chain than small buyers will. And if he has done actual research on his stuff, it will likely work first time with minor tweaking. And he covers a lot of stuff I had been wondering about like master volumes, triode-pentode switches, and much more. When I start vol2, I am doing the math and taking math notes on it. I should have done it on Vol1 but I am reading it so slowly that I didn't want to try and remember it. And just a hint..if you have time to crap, you have time to read one sub heading without getting roids in the process. So any excuse except blind is not logical. I have read a foot of correspondence course and several thick books a little at a time. Of course after TBI, I am good to digest a few minutes of tube at one time anyways...
Of course, Doug's stuff is cool too and I would read that first since it is not as complicated as Ultimate Tone. The experience on this forum has a whole lot of insight and answers also.
