Original Memory Man - Needs AC help
« on: February 09, 2009, 08:58:09 am »
Hi All.

A buddy left his cool Blue/Black Memory Man here. It plugs into the wall with a 2 prong ac cable that's permanently attached. It wont power up, and the little transformer inside looks burnt. He wants to use it and is not concerned about any unorignal mods. Finding that transformer is hard, but I was thinking maybe a wall wart and small AC jack on the unit? Would this also not make the unit quieter? Just not sure how to figure out how many mA and voltage a transformer I'd need. The transformer has the 2 wires in from the ac cable, and has 3 red wires coming out that go to the circuitboard.

Any ideas and help are extremely welcomed!

Thanks,
Megachunk
