Not completely sure, (so don't take this as gospel- just a nudge in the right direction) but Rudy Bozak made speakers primarily for home HiFi. I doubt that it is a musical instrument speaker, but given the time, it should be a fairly nice driver. Most speakers manufactured pre 1970 had the design compromises in the direction of efficiency instead of flat with good bass extension. (this was before transistor amps got very powerful) It could very well be a decent driver- the venerable D130 is very much a HiFi driver- only difference is the label. I myself, have evil designs on an Altec Biflex driver which is (was) a utility/HiFi driver which should do quite nicely as a MI speaker. Just have to come up with a period looking cabinet to stick it in...
This problem calls for a bigger hammer!

The B199 was a 12" bass/mid driver. 7802 could be a YYWW EIA code, but I believe they shipped the D version then.

Hey Mark!! I have a set of Bozak B310B Concert Grand speakers. They have 4-12's, 2-6.5's and 8-2's for highs. They are huge at about
5 feet high, 3 feet wide, and 18" or so deep. Weight is about 275 lbs. I'm using all McIntosh gear to charge them up.
All this to say I may be interested in the speaker(s). These cabs absolutely need NO sub back-ups! As far as I know, they are still in
production. Bozak is located in Connecticut. I'm at home, so I don't have the details, the system is in my classroom. My speakers were
built around 1970 or so. I'll try to get back with better and more complete info. I'm off tomorrow.
I also seem to recall Bozak had a knack for getting massive bass response from 12" drivers.
Rick
