Just ate the first Blueberries and Raspberries a few days ago.
Things are starting really kick in now.

I only have 3 blueberry bushes but they have berries on them this yr. Don't know if there are enough for a cobbler or not but I hope so.

Ate my first cherry size tomatoe this wkend. It was good! Real sweet tasting. I'll have to look up the name of it but it was sort of golden-orangish color. My 5 tomatoe plants are looking good.

We have acres of wild blueberries, but don't expect a bud for a month.

Haven't even planted tomatoes.

The dandelions had a field-day. Some weed/feed got 90% of that.

Lovely! Winter here now, all we've got approaching picking is some garlic and some ruby chard that's stalled growth over the cold months.

Was able to pick some larger green tomatoes and some more small ones this wkend.  The small cherry size are very good. Really sweet.

The big ones I cooked as fried green tomatoes and served them with Carolina crabcakes and a  nice tossed salad.  Yum!

I tried a large one that was barely turning red, one that was barely turning yellow and one still green.  The barely turning yellow was the best for fried green tomatoes in my book.

 Making me hungry too, especially the blue berries... I'm originally from Sacramento so I took it for granted how great our produce was there. After to moving to Phoenix 8 years ago I appreciate how good I had it there. We get ok stuff here, but not near the variety we had there. (Which only makes sense, Sacto had so many farms just on the outskirts of town it was crazy) Berries here are pretty expensive I think, a small basket is nearly four bucks and enough for a good size cobbler would probably cost you 20-25 bucks haha. Course there is frozen, but they're like small and not very sweet. We do have a co-op that we were doing for a while which had pretty good produce/fruits etc, probably have to go back to that. There are of course the whole foods markets which have off the hook stuff but wow for the working poor its tough to swing shopping there.

I keep picking these cherry tomatoes. They're great!!  Very sweet tasting almost like veggie candy.

They're actually more yellow-orange then the photo shows.
